The Crystal Girls Tennis team has had a riveting season these past weeks. Despite facing many obstacles, these girls have pulled through with an inspirational amount of persistence and determination. This year has brought some major changes, such as their new coaches (Art, Jay, & Em) and the loss of many star players that graduated last year. However, these challenges did not prevent Crystal Girls Tennis from attacking their opponents, working hard, and leaving it ALL on the court.

Their unwavering spirit has also taken a prominent role this season, with the Crystal Girls Tennis instagram account being up and running. On the right depicts the “minions” spirit day, where Clara (top) is seen as gru while everyone else are wearing their blue yellow and purple to represent their minion spirit. Clearly, every girl brings their all for team dress up days!

Team captains Lauryn F ‘26, Clara K ‘26, Reina K ‘26, and Chloe C ‘26 are demonstrating stellar bonding leadership that motivates girls to want to play. They have not only fostered a welcoming and warm environment for everyone, but also dedicated themselves to the team, by scheduling countless team bonding experiences outside of school.
Furthermore, the team’s persistence and dedication has been prominent on the scoreboard. Crystal opened the season with a dominating win 6-1 against Sequoia, as well as another commanding win against Nueva with the same score. Unfortunately, the team had a tough loss against Menlo, however, they bounced back with a big 7-0 win against Hillsdale. This just demonstrates the perseverance and improvement all of the girls have displayed throughout the first couple of matches.
The Crystal Girls continued keeping their fire, energy, and work ethic up. Each match has been a chance to grow and the players are looking forward to their last matches with a lineup including Harker, Menlo, Sacred Heart Prep and Notre Dame. Whether the girls are winning or losing, this season has been jam packed with determination, drive, and of course, spirit.
