Liam Payne – former One Direction singer – has passed. Born on August 29, 1993 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, he was one of the five incredible singers that formed the famous band called One Direction that started in 2010. One Direction is known for songs such as “Story of My Life”, “Night Changes”, “What Makes You Beautiful”, and many more. Although the band did split due to underlying tensions, every band member continued on their own personal singing careers. Liam Payne was no exception, he created a single called “Teardrop” last March.
According to CNN, “[Liam] died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, according to police there. He was 31.” Payne was in Argentina attending his former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert on October 2, 2024. Reports concluded that he was intoxicated and threw himself from the balcony window. BBC states that “[police then] arrived at the hotel [and] officials were told a loud sound had been heard in an interior courtyard.” There they discovered the body and then investigations occurred. Fans even arrived at the Buenos Aires hotel in honor of Payne’s death. Although Payne did pass on October 16, 2024, he will always be remembered for the incredible artist and person he was.
